Job Summary

Part-time position is available for technically inclined individual assisting with the maintenance and installation of audiovisual equipment on campus.

Responsibilities

-Performs routine checks on audiovisual (AV) equipment to determine maintenance required for proper operation.
-Responds to and addresses classroom equipment trouble tickets
-Provides customer service and equipment training to faculty, students and staff
-Assists instructors and students in the classroom with audiovisual equipment issues
-Monitors and maintains equipment trouble tickets
-Frequently updates customers on status of room tickets
-Prepares and installs components into walls and AV cabinets
-Organizes and maintains the job site
-Picks up and delivers parts and equipment from on and off-campus sites to main office and job sites
-Keeps detailed and accurate records of work
-Maintains classroom equipment database
-May assist with AV equipment installations
-Assists with staging equipment and components for installation projects
-Other duties as needed to assist in the maintenance and installation process

Minimum Qualifications

One year of related experience; demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance and related tools; the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb step ladders/scaffolding; and, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
A Utah driver’s license may be required.

This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Preferences

Customer service experience, troubleshooting skills, technical aptitude, good work ethic, demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions preferred.
Experience installing audiovisual equipment preferred, but not required.
Must have a valid Utah driver’s license. Should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding.
