Job Summary

• Provide supreme customer service
• Handle each event in a professional manner
• Maintain positive human relations with Food and Beverage service staff and all food service clients
• Understand how to read and follow through with special event contracts
• Ensure that the dining tables are set, the Buffet tables are ready for the food at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time of service
• Act with a sense of urgency to all needs that are involved with special events
• Have a current food handler’s permit
• Maintain a professional appearance & demeanor

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Client and to ensure all contracts made by Stadium and Arena Event Services are completed with the utmost professionalism and care
• Set up rooms according to standards including all decorations and food setup by designated time schedule (15 minutes before the scheduled time of service).
• In the absence of a Supervisor, greet the individual that is in charge of the assigned contract to ensure customer care and service expectations are met.
• Check in on rooms regularly to ensure client satisfaction.
• In the absence of a Supervisor, keep track of all additional products that are used by clients and document for the final bill that will be issued.
• Be productive and professional
• Help with the take down and clean up all rooms after the parties have left.
• Keep all catering stations clean and organized.
• Be safety conscious and resolve or report any unsafe conditions that you observe.
• Report theft to the Supervisor and/or Food and Beverage Management
• Notify the Supervisor at least 4 hours before your shift, if you are unable to come to work.
• Comply with all of Stadium and Arena Event Services policies

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of institutional cooking experience, or equivalency is required. Demonstrated human relations, computer literacy, and effective communication skills required. A current food service worker’s permit is required. A high school diploma, GED or equivalency is also required.

Preferences

• Have experience working in fine dining or catering as a server
• Be able to lift and carry trays through a dining room
• Be courteous and sincere with all SLCC Staff and customers of SLCC Food Services
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
• Have a pleasant, outgoing personality.
• Have good communication skills.
• Have good troubleshooting skills.
• Be able to lift 20 lbs
• Be able to stand and work on your feet for long extended periods of time.
