Job Summary

Student part-time position work approximately 15-20 hours weekly in the Utah Red Zone Store Layton, which specializes in retail sales of University of Utah insignia merchandise.

This is a seasonal position through January.

This store is located behind the Layton Hills mall at 1425 N 447 W, Layton, UT.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing legendary customer service to each customer who enters the department. This position assists customers, both in the store and on the phone, in finding the items they are looking for and in suggesting alternative products when the requested merchandise is unavailable. This position works to fully stock merchandise on the sales floor in a timely manner, and to maintain the sales floor, by keeping it clean and orderly. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, cashiering and customer service, assisting with stock keeping and merchandising of all product. Some light housekeeping is expected. This position requires the employee to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of electronic e-mail systems, preferably Outlook, including the e-mail and calendar functions of the system.

Nearly Continuously: Office environment.

Nearly Continuously: walking, hearing, listening, talking.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), sitting. 

Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead, lifting (up to 50 pounds).

Minimum Qualifications

This is an entry-level position. Training will be provided. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills and the ability to pass a security clearance is required. Some positions require a minimum of six months cashiering experience.

Preferences

Some retail and cashier experience preferred.
