Job Summary

Assist with supporting/managing/developing of Apple technology and integration into heterogeneous university environment.

Responsibilities

Assist students, faculty, and staff with Apple related issues. Which includes troubleshooting software and hardware, fixing broken computers, replacing or computers out. Respond to staff and patrons on issues with software or hardware though the problem ticket system, meetings and e-mail. Manage the software that is placed on the computers by creating overloads of programs to be distributed across campus using Radmind & Casper Suite. Erase, Test, Image, run Radmind & Casper Suite and place computer’s around at different labs that we mange around campus. And assorted projects & tasks, based on knowledge, skill & demand assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of computer operations experience or equivalency required; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required. Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Preferences

Excellent level knowledge of Mac OS X & iOS and all forms of hardware & media used in the labs and the staff computers. Demonstrated ability to use graphics, web design, and advanced software packages. Experience with scripting, programming languages and UNIX. Knowledge with Apple specific management software including Apple Software Restore, Apple Remote Desktop, etc. Experience with training, presenting & creating documentation for students, staff/faculty and technology professionals. Must work well and effectively both in independently and a team environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows (XP, Windows 7) and multi-platform environments helpful.
